How to Reach Rishikesh
By Air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, about 35 kilometres (21.75 miles) from Rishikesh. Major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Kolkata have direct flights to Dehradun. You can reach Rishikesh by cab, taxi, or bus from the airport.
By Road: Rishikesh is well-connected to Dehradun (12 kilometres/7.46 miles away) and other major cities in Uttarakhand and northern India. Buses to Rishikesh depart from Delhi ISBT Kashmiri Gate and Meerut. National Highway 58 links Badrinath and Rishikesh, facilitating travel by bus and taxi from destinations like Dehradun, Haridwar, Srinagar, Tehri, and Uttarkashi.
By Rail: Rishikesh has a railway station with services from various parts of India. The new Yog Nagari Rishikesh station and an upcoming line to Kare Prayag will further enhance connectivity. Trains to Rishikesh are frequent, with taxis and buses readily available for further travel.
